The Leeds Skyline Service, provides support for all people, families and carers living in Leeds who are living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The service also works within communities most at risk of HIV to enable individuals and community groups to have the information and support they need to help prevent the spread of the infection, overcome stigma faced by people living with HIV and support people in their own communities. The service provides one-to-one support for those living with HIV/AIDS. Our staff and volunteers provide advocacy and help with treatment, counseling and support and advice on nutrition and other issues to improve well-being, We support people and provide referrals for specialist advice and services on issues including; benefits, housing and immigration. We also provide access to a range of complimentary therapies. The service provides a safe and welcoming space in a newly-converted city centre base. We have facilities for service users to meet together and link into wider networks and drop-in facilities are available some evenings and weekends. Our prevention work includes supporting people to become positive speakers, events and activities bringing communities together, community outreach and support to volunteers.
